About us
SINCE 1913…
Drummoyne Sailing Club is one of the most popular and well-respected sailing clubs in New South Wales. The club boasts wonderful panoramic views of Upper Sydney Harbour from Birchgrove to Hunters Hill across North Sydney and featuring Spectacle, Cockatoo and Snapper Islands.
It was formed in 1913 as a club for 16ft Skiffs but has always moved with the times to meet the needs of its members. Today many sailing boat classes race out of Drummoyne Sailing Club including 16ft Skiffs, Yachts, Hartley TS16s, OK Dinghies and several Junior classes such as Sabots, Cherubs and Flying 11s.
Drummoyne has produced world champions and Olympic medallists and the next generation of sailors is being developed in the Sailing Academy.
The clubhouse…
The clubhouse boasts full dining and bar facilities. Dining can be enjoyed on the upper level in the ECCO Ristorante or try the Sailor’s Grill, open seven days for lunch and dinner. As well as being a haven for members it is also an outstanding function venue. Weddings, engagement parties, anniversaries, business meetings and fund-raising dinners can all be individually designed to suit your needs.
With two bars, TAB and Sky Channel, Keno, Fox Sports and regular club activities such as raffles and trivia, there’s always something to do at Drummoyne Sailing Club.
